As an employer, it is your responsibility to make sure all these forms are given to your employee to fill out before they can start working.
- Employment Eligibility Verification I-9
Federal law requires everyone to complete a Form which verifies the employee’s authorization to work in the United States. Employees must complete this form on or before the first day of employment regardless of whether they are a citizen or non-citizen.
- Virginia New Hire Form VA-New Hire
Federal and state legislation requires all Virginia employers to report to the Commonwealth of Virginia all newly hire, rehired or returning to work employees.
- Employees must give written approval for direct deposit of their paychecks, and provide you with information on the bank accounts where they will receive deposits. This Authorization for Direct Deposit form should be fill out by your employees and retained for your records.
